Founded in 1926, the MGMA is the premier membership association for professional administrators and leaders of medical group practices. The MGMA is seeking a President and CEO to provide leadership and vision to MGMA, the trade association, and American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the standard-setting and certification organization for group practice management professionals. The President and CEO manages the Colorado headquarters operations and executes plans and policies while reporting to two respective executive committees and boards for MGMA and ACMPE; provides strategic leadership to position the organizations as key players in the healthcare industry; represents the medical group practice profession across a spectrum of alliances; coordinates and oversees industry advocacy efforts; and represents them to state and federal regulatory agencies and legislators and other healthcare and medical organizations.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field; master’s degree preferred; a minimum of 15 years of experience in a leadership role in the healthcare community such as within hospital or medical associations/systems, key provider groups, or in the healthcare or practice arenas. The USP is seeking a Vice President to develop strategic HR initiatives to support organizational goals; develop and execute HR policies and programs and direct all HR functions including compensation, benefits, staffing, performance management, succession planning and talent management, EEO/affirmative action, and employee relations; supervise department staff of ten and outside consultants; and advise senior leadership on HR issues and organizational development strategies.
