Pamela Kaul -
President
Pamela Kaul is the
president and founder of Association Strategies, Inc.,
an organization development firm that specializes in
executive search and transition, executive coaching, and
leadership development. She is a consultant,
facilitator, and trainer with nearly 30 years of
experience in association management, executive search
and organization development. Clients include trade and
professional associations, education, healthcare and
medical societies, foundations, and philanthropic
institutions.
For 13 years in association
management, Pamela led major change efforts in several
large organizations in the Washington, DC, metropolitan
area, while directing career development, planning, and
human resource functions. In 1982, Pamela was recruited
to open and staff a new division of a national
recruiting firm, which led to its successful expansion
into the nonprofit arena. She also was instrumental in
launching an executive search and consulting services
division for another nonprofit organization. The
successful transition of association executives is a
hallmark of the ASI mission and practice.
Pamela’s experience leading
organizational change and development programs spans her
career and includes organizational assessment,
succession planning, performance management, and
executive coaching. Her extensive client list includes
state, national, and international associations such as
the American Society of Association Executives, American
College of Cardiology, Medical Group Management
Association, Society of Actuaries, American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the American
Association of University Women.
Pamela is a keynote speaker
for business and professional organizations and a
frequent presenter at universities, ASAE annual and
midyear meetings, GWSAE, and numerous association
national meetings and conferences. She authored a
bi-monthly column for Association Management as
well as wrote feature articles for two issues on the
topics of career management, executive search, and
interviewing skills. She authored the “Orientation,
Training, and Development” chapter in Managing Human
Resources in Associations, also published by ASAE
Since 2002, Pamela has
served on the Nominating Committee of SCORE and serves
as industry advisor to several national boards and
committees. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Communications from the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville, TN.
